Built for Maximum Load. Proven Under Pressure.

Engineered for ¾-ton and 1-ton trucks towing and hauling at high capacity — featuring the RoadActive Suspension Mega-Duty system.

When the load gets serious

Serious Rear Squat

  • Geometry Shifts

Trailer Push

  • Instability when braking

Highway Sway

  • Constant steering corrections

Suspension Fatigue

  • Wear under constant load

Engineered for maximum capacity

  • Increased spring force capacity
  • Designed for GVWR trucks
  • Reduces extreme rear squat
  • Controls heavy trailer push
  • Minimizes suspension fatigue
  • Validated at +99% max payload
  • No compressors or air management

Build for heavy loads. not just lift or level.

AIRBAG SYSTEM

  • Load transferred directly to the axle
  • Requires manual adjustment
  • Requires airlines & fittings
  • Potential leaks
  • May require onboard compressor
  • Requires ongoing upkeep
  • Performance depends on setup
  • Can Cost $2k+ for full setup

Based on typical air spring systems.

ADDING LEAF SPRINGS

  • Increases static spring rate
  • Always stiff — even unloaded
  • Fixed-rate support only
  • No dynamic load adaption
  • Does not reduce bounce isolation
  • Little-not impact on sway and body roll

Traditional fixed-rate upgrade.

Which Kit Is RIGHT FOR YOUR WORK TRUCK?

MEGA DUTY

Designed for ¾-ton and 1-ton trucks operating at high payload and towing capacity. Ideal for trucks that regularly exceed 75% of their rated capacity or tow near maximum limits. Mega-Duty delivers increased spring force and control for serious hauling demands. Optional for select ½-ton work trucks through our support team.

HEAVY DUTY

Built for ½-ton trucks and moderate hauling 3/4 ton truck applications. Ideal for recreational towing and regular loads that do not operate near maximum capacity. Delivers progressive rear support without stepping up to Mega-Duty-level force.

How RAS® works

1

Weight flattens leaf spring

2

RAS® tension spring engages

3

Suspension arch maintained

Frequently Asked Questions

RoadActive Suspension (RAS) is designed to greatly improve the way a truck handles towing or hauling heavy loads. However, RAS® does not increase the payload capacity of a pickup truck.

Payload capacity is determined by the manufacturer and is based on the weight of the vehicle, including its frame, body, engine, fuel, passengers, and cargo. This weight capacity cannot be increased by adding aftermarket suspension components like RAS®.

RAS® can, however, improve suspension strength by up to 50% and help distribute the weight of the payload more evenly across the truck's suspension, which can improve handling and stability while driving with a heavy load. It can also help reduce sagging of the rear end of the truck when carrying a heavy load, which can improve the truck's overall appearance and handling.

RAS® does not increase overall GVWR or payload capacity. It is not designed for trucks that exceed, and it is important to follow manufacturer weight ratings.

Mega-Duty RoadActive Suspension is ideal for trucks that regularly handle:

• Large travel trailers
• Fifth-wheel campers
• Truck campers
• Equipment trailers
• Heavy cargo loads
• Work trucks carrying tools or materials

It’s built specifically for trucks that operate near their payload or towing capacity on a regular basis. It is NOT designed for trucks that run over manufacturer capacity.

Yes, RoadActive Suspension does typically raise the rear unloaded ride height by .1''- 2''. The exact amount will vary based on the vehicle, condition of the leaf springs, the kit part number and most importantly the tension set on the spring upon initial install.

Yes. The Mega-Duty RoadActive Suspension kit was specifically designed for ¾-ton and 1-ton trucks that regularly tow large trailers or carry heavy payloads.

The system reinforces your factory leaf springs with a progressive mechanical spring that automatically adds support as load increases. For trucks with factory top overload spring, that overload spring must be removed to fit the RAS® kit. RAS® Mega-Duty will provide more strength and performance benefit than the factory overload spring.

Many heavy-duty trucks come with a factory top overload spring. For proper installation of RoadActive Suspension®, the overload spring is typically removed as outlined in the instructions.

Factory overload springs usually don’t engage until the suspension compresses significantly, which is why trucks can still experience noticeable squat before the overload begins to help.

The RoadActive Suspension Mega-Duty system engages immediately, reinforcing the main leaf spring earlier in the suspension travel. No suspension strength is lost—in fact, Mega-Duty often provides greater effective support than the factory overload alone, typically improving squat by around 2 inches under heavy loads, while also reducing bounce and improving overall stability.

Airbags push upward against the frame and force more load through the axle, which can actually increase harshness and reduce suspension travel if over-inflated.

RoadActive Suspension works differently. It supports the leaf spring itself, helping it maintain its proper arch under load. This improves stability and load control without transferring additional stress through the axle or requiring air pressure adjustments.

There are no compressors, air lines, or pressure tuning required.

No, installing RoadActive Suspension (or any other rear suspension helper) does not automatically void the factory warranty. The Magnuson Moss Act states that it is illegal for a vehicle manufactuer or dealership to void a warranty just because a part has been installed. The manufacturer or dealership may only void the warranty if they are able to prove the aftermarket part caused or contributed damage to the vehicle. Even then, warranty to the impacted component(s) is the only portion of the warranty that may be voided. In this case, all other parts of the vehicle remain under warranty.
